Bad Baby Inc. is a company started in 2009 by proud parents of two adorable, trouble-making boys. We started the company from our living room couch. As the boys wrestled on the floor, we discussed different ideas which eventually became the vision for Bad Baby. With so much stress in the world and often in parenting, we wanted to take a lighter approach. We decided our goal is to highlight the humor behind life's most honest and pure comedians, our children, using cartoon prints showcasing our "Bad Baby" character.
Quickly Doug began sketching out different designs. Doug's creative abilities and entrepreneurial spirit combined with Sue's web and management experience made for a good team. Many late nights proved to be successful. Soon we had our own website and vendor tables at various Chicagoland festivals.
The prints have received tremendously positive reactions. Large crowds would gather around our displays - some would chuckle and many would be outright in hysterics. Local retailers approached us to put our products on their shelves and fest/baby expo sales exceeded our expectations. This gave us all the encouragement we needed to move forward full steam. Doug left his corporate career to put full efforts into Bad Baby Inc.
We opened our own retail location in Orland Square Mall (Orland Park, IL) for the 2009 holiday season. We have also taken all apparel printing in-house so that we may offer the lowest prices possible to our customers and wholesale partners.
Another exciting sect to our business is the blog. We have learned so much in the few years of being parents and Sue writes about many of these experiences. Our goal with the blog is to make these lessons learned available to all parents in hopes it will help make their lives a little easier. Whether it's a tip in how to detect an ear infection or help your newborn sleep, there are many interesting tips for parents with kids in the infant and toddler years.
The boys and us are very excited and look forward to the future of our family and Bad Baby!
